Odilon Debuts at Design Nation
with Pebble Lake
Odilon Creations took part in Design Nation in Kortrijk for the first time, with a stand built around one concept: Pebble Lake. A mirrored floor, soft organic shapes in blue and teal, and a series of stacked stones in our finishes turned a trade fair space into a small piece of scenery.
Our First Visit to Design Nation
Design Nation is an exclusive two-day trade event at Kortrijk Xpo, where premium brands present their collections to architects, interior designers and decision makers in hospitality, workspace and healthcare projects. For Odilon it was a first chance to meet that audience at an event where materials take centre stage.
Pebble Lake, from Floor to Stones
The floor of our stand was covered entirely in mirrors, like the surface of a still lake, with sheer white curtains around it. Across the water lay pool-shaped patches finished with floor materials. The reflective surface doubled everything around it, while the patches added colour and texture at ground level and gave the eye somewhere to land.
Stacked Stones, Dressed in Odilon
Rising from that surface were stacked pebbles, each one finished in its own colour, texture and material from the Odilon collection.
Visitors could see how a material changes with the light and the angle, and how differently one shape can look in each surface. It is the same idea that runs through everything we make: mineral finishes applied by hand by qualified craftspeople, for walls, floors, wet rooms and furniture alike.
Two Brands, One Story
With Odilon on the stones and Liquidfloors in the floor, the stand showed both brands as one composition, with the same deep teal returning on the floor and on the stones. It is a pairing we know well from interior projects, and one that also takes shape at House of Textures in Zwevegem, where both brands share a home.
