What is Odilon Creations?

Odilon Creations is a Belgian-born brand of curated architectural wall and floor finishes. Our collection consists of five main materials: Thalostuc, Thalixe, Silkstone, Carran and Monolith.

What's the difference between Thalostuc, Thalixe and Silkstone?

Thalostuc is a mineral lime plaster with limestone and natural stone aggregates, built up by hand in fine layers for a rich, sculptural depth. Thalixe is a lighter, ready-to-use microplaster with soft tints, applied with roller or brush and shaped by trowel. Silkstone is a ready-to-use decorative paint with a fine, even grain, calm and understated.

Can Odilon be used on floors and in wet rooms?

Yes. Carran and Monolith are seamless resin floor finishes suited to floors, walls, stairs and furniture. Carran and Monolith can also be applied in wet rooms such as showers, of course with the right preparation. Thalostuc, Thalixe and Silkstone are lime and mineral-based wall finishes, and are not suited for direct use in wet areas.

How is Odilon applied?

Every Odilon finish is applied by hand, in layers, best done by an Odilon-certified installer. Each surface is prepared and built up according to the chosen material and texture, a process that gives every wall and floor great depth and character. Get in touch and we'll connect you with a certified installer near your project.

Can I order samples?

Yes. Every Odilon sample is made by hand in Belgium. At 41 by 24 cm, a sample is large enough to judge texture and colour in your own light and next to other selected materials. Choose any of our five finishes and the texture that suits your project, in a collection colour or matched to your own material in Atelier d'O.

Our sample webshop opens soon. Until then, please request your samples by email. Prefer to see the materials at full scale? Visit us at House of Textures, or partnering showrooms! They tend to be an experience.

Do you develop custom colours or finishes?

Yes. Within Atelier d'O we develop bespoke colours across our materials, matching a stone, a textile, a façade or a reference of your own. For Thalostuc, we also develop exclusive textures on request.

How do I become an Odilon-certified installer?

Our certified installer network connects Odilon with skilled artisans, selected and trained to apply our materials with precision. Get in touch through our page for installers to learn more about the Odilon workshops and how to join the network.

How do I maintain an Odilon surface?

Maintenance depends on the material and where it's applied. We provide guidance specific to your project once your surface is installed.

Where are Odilon materials designed and made?

Odilon Creations is designed and developed in Belgium. Every material, Thalostuc, Thalixe, Silkstone, Carran and Monolith, is best applied by hand by trained installers.
